Kick Off 2026 with the 800g Nutrition Challenge
The new year is almost here, and at Vital we believe the best way to start strong isn't with extremes, restrictions, or quick fixes, it's with simple habits that actually move the needle.
That's why we're kicking off 2026 with the 800g Challenge, starting January 5th.
What Is the 800g Challenge?
The 800g Challenge is simple:
Eat 800 grams (about 6–8 cups) of fruits and vegetables per day.
That's it.
No foods are banned.
No calories are tracked.
No macros to stress over.
Just a daily focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods.
Why 800 Grams?
Most people drastically under-consume fruits and vegetables. When we prioritize them, a lot of good things happen naturally:
-
Improved digestion and gut health
-
Better energy levels throughout the day
-
Increased micronutrients and fiber
-
Better appetite control and satiety
-
Easier weight management without obsession
When fruits and vegetables go up, ultra-processed foods tend to go down, without willpower battles.
Why We're Starting Here
At Vital, we believe nutrition should be:
-
Sustainable
-
Flexible
-
Habit-based
Before worrying about calories, macros, or perfection, we want to establish a foundation. Eating more fruits and vegetables is one of the highest-return habits you can build.
It supports performance in the gym, recovery outside of it, and long-term health beyond aesthetics.
A Little Friendly Competition
To make this fun and motivating, the 800g Challenge will include a point system throughout the challenge. Members will earn points for consistency and participation.
At the end of the 30-day challenge, a winner will be randomly drawn from those who participated and stayed engaged, giving everyone a chance to win, regardless of experience level.
Who Is This Challenge For?
This challenge is for:
-
Beginners who want a clear, doable starting point
-
Experienced athletes who want to reset after the holidays
-
Anyone tired of "starting over" every January
If you can eat food, you can do this challenge.
What This Challenge Is Not
-
It's not a detox
-
It's not a diet
-
It's not about being perfect
Miss a day? You don't quit. You get back to it the next meal.
How to Succeed
-
Spread your intake across meals and snacks
-
Use frozen fruits and veggies — they count
-
Track grams or cups, whichever is easier
-
Focus on progress, not perfection
Let's Build Momentum into 2026
One of our core beliefs at Vital is this:
One hour in the gym trains you. The other 23 hours change you.
The 800g Challenge is about winning those other hours, one plate at a time.
We're excited to take this on together and set the tone for a strong, healthy 2026.
The 800g Challenge starts January 5th. Let's go.
